Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:15pm from September - May.
The purpose of the St. Veronica Parish Religious Education Program is to support and assist all parish families in the religious formation of their children and in the Catholic Christian way of life through formal classroom study of the truths of our faith and its lived dimensions. For older children, a holistic approach to faith formation interweaves message, worship, prayer, community, and service. The goal is to foster a relationship with God as Trinity, with Jesus Christ as Son of God and Savior, with the local and universal Church, and with the larger community in which we live our daily Catholic Christian lives.
The program for children in grades 1 thru 8 meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:15pm. Classes are held in the St. Veronica School building.
During these sessions children are guided by adults using appropriate teaching techniques for each grade level and developmental stage of learning. Children grow in knowing Jesus Christ, living the Catholic faith, understanding the sacraments, forming a life of prayer, and learning the teachings of the Church.
Through a "holistic" approach to faith formation, our young people are given opportunities to:
Parents and children come together on the first night of classes so that we can begin the REP school year with a brief prayer service. Children will be introduced to their teacher/catechist and then be escorted to their classroom. Parents will remain to receive information about the year. Parents will pick up children at the regular dismissal time of 8:15pm.
