The St. Vincent de Paul Society meets on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the SASEAS School Edrich Room. We are here to help anyone within the parish boundaries needing emergency assistance including food, clothing, furniture, financial aid, advocating for the poor and visiting the sick and homebound.
We pray for our ministry and those for whom we are helping. We also facilitate Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas gifts for those in need in our area.
Once each year (usually the second Saturday in June) we hold "Dare to Care Dash." Every fifth Sunday throughout the year, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish allows us the benefit of a second collection for the benefit of our work.
These and private donations give us the means to carry on our work of assisting the poor and needy. St. Vincent de Paul can always use some extra assistance from parishioners only taking up a small amount of your time.
For assistance, please call 513-575-0119 x250. Leave a message including your name, phone number and nature of your request for assistance. The St. Vincent de Paul volunteers check the messages daily and will call you back to arrange a time to meet.
Volunteers who would be willing to take the calls off of the SVDP answering machine and enter them into an online Excel database. This activity takes 30-60 minutes per day, you can volunteer to help weekly or as often as you would like.
Volunteers to help deliver food to SVDP Neighbors either at the Neighbors residence or meet them at the Food Pantry. This would be a great activity for families who have kids needing service hours, you could sign up for as little as an hour on a schedule that meets your needs, or be placed on a roster of volunteers that can be called when we need people for this activity.
We continue to need discarded plastic grocery bags, you can drop them in the narthex of the church.
