We believe that parents are the primary catechists of their children and faith formation starts in the home. The mission of St Mary Magdalene's Family of Faith program is to set our parish on fire by building a community of families that know, love, and serve Jesus.
Starting in 2024, we have synthesized three religious education programs across our three churches into one. Our families come from St Andrew, St Veronica, and St Elizabeth Ann Seton, and from all over the greater Cincinnati region. We serve children ages pre-K through 8th grade. We meet two Sundays a month and one Wednesday a month. During our Sunday sessions, children meet with their grade level for religious education connected to the Sunday gospel. Parents meet for a “mini-retreat”, with rotating visits from our parish priests who lead discussion on the faith life and give space for fellowship among other parents. During our Wednesday sessions, all families come together for learning and fun, based around the Catholic Church’s liturgical season.
The fee for Family of Faith defrays the cost of materials and curriculum. We want every family to be free to receive spiritual support and fellowship! If this is a financial burden for your family, please contact [email protected]. Fees can be waived for financial need. Our goal is to provide high-quality faith formation for every family, regardless of ability to pay.
Family fee: $100 for registered parishioners / $150 for non-parishioners
